A new bridge over the Chattahoochee River in Duluth, Georgia is set to widen State Highway 120 into a four-lane road. This expansion will stretch between Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Medlock Bridge Road.

The goal of this project is to address the need for increased road capacity in this particular area of Duluth and enhance vehicular movement by making it more efficient. This transformation will not only improve commuting times but will also potentially increase economic inflow by stimulating commercial activities along the highway.

The change to the existing bridge across the Chattahoochee River is a vital part of this plan. In effect, this will create a more spacious route supporting greater volumes of transit. By allowing for more vehicular traffic, the new structure anticipates to meet the demands of growth in the region.

However, a specific operative timeline for the modifications is yet to be announced. The authorities are expected to share a finalized plan with a detailed timeline, budget, and specific design layout in the coming months.
