maierAMERICA, a subsidiary of Christian Maier GmbH & Co. KG, has officially opened a new facility in Norcross. The company celebrated the milestone on September 24th with the unveiling of its expanded location at 1856 Corporate Drive. Spanning 20,500 square feet, the new facility nearly triples the size of its previous site in the area.
This expansion is a response to the company’s growing demand in the U.S. market. According to Rob Kuehl, CEO of maierAMERICA, the new space will allow the company to better serve its clients and solidify its position as a leader in the industry. “This expansion reflects maierAMERICA’s commitment to meeting increasing demand and positioning ourselves as a leader in the industry. We look forward to the growth this will bring the community,” Kuehl said.
Founded nearly a century ago in Heidenheim an der Brenz, Germany, maierGROUP, the parent company, specializes in the production of rotary joints, commonly referred to as unions. The company serves a wide array of industries, with products that are utilized in nearly 20 sectors globally. The maierGROUP has over 200 employees and offers solutions for more than 500 different fields of application.
Florian Maier, who serves as Managing Partner of Christian Maier GmbH & Co. KG, explained how important the expansion in Gwinnett is, calling it a critical step in the company’s global growth strategy. “Innovating and growing here in Gwinnett, Georgia, and the Americas is a significant step forward for us,” he stated.
maierAMERICA is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary of operating in the U.S. market next September. The company’s guiding principles are centered around long-term partnerships, reliability, and quality, as captured in their tagline, “Rotary Joints by maierGROUP – A Union for Life.”
While the increased square footage of the new location undoubtedly supports the necessary expansion, the relocation also holds a symbolic significance. The move marks a milestone in maierAMERICA’s journey, reflecting an overall positive trajectory for the company and its role within the Gwinnett business landscape.
