Cobb County’s annual Make-A-Wish 5K is set to take place at Glover Park in Marietta’s Historic Square, with all proceeds going towards granting wishes for children in Cobb County who are battling critical illnesses. The race, which will be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 5th, is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event, offering runners a chance to compete for a great cause while meeting an important milestone.
The race will kick off at 8:00 a.m., with walk-up registration available starting at 7:00 a.m. at the Marietta Square. Participants of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join, as the event seeks to raise enough funds to grant 14 wishes for local children. These wishes include travel experiences, Disney trips, celebrity meet-and-greets, and even one child’s dream of becoming a police officer.
Make-A-Wish Georgia has partnered with the Cobb County community for years to help make life-changing wishes come true for children facing serious illnesses. This year’s event hopes to continue that legacy by creating joyful moments and unforgettable experiences for these children and their families.
Whether you’re an experienced runner or just looking to support a meaningful cause, the Make-A-Wish 5K offers a fun and rewarding way to make a difference.
