The 7th Annual Halloween Howl 5K and 1K, hosted by Canine Pet Rescue (CPR), is set to take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Little Mulberry Park in Dacula. The 5K race begins at 9 a.m., followed by the 1K at 10 a.m. Participants will gather at the Fence Road entrance near Highway 324 for this Peachtree Road Race qualifying event.
The Halloween Howl welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, including runners, walkers, and their furry companions. Families, friends, and individuals are invited to take part in the races, with all proceeds supporting CPR’s mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need.
In addition to the races, the event will feature a costume contest with prizes awarded for the best Kid, Adult, and Dog costumes. While costumes are optional, they are encouraged to add to the festive atmosphere. The awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the race.
For those who may not be able to attend in person, virtual participation is available for $35. All registration fees directly contribute to CPR’s efforts in saving dogs and finding them loving homes.
Registration for the 5K is $35, and the 1K is $25. Participants can register online through October 11, with day-of registration available at the event.
