No one is safe from a Bill Maher rant. This is proving especially true for Democratic Presidential nominee and current Vice President Kamala Harris.
“In three years as the vice president, she has been quieter than an electric car,” Maher said in a viral clip from his show Real Time with Bill Maher. “And as a former prosecutor, Kamala was putting criminals in jail back before liberals decided that was a bad thing,” Maher added. “You can count the number of delegates she won in the 2020 primaries on one hand, as long as that hand has no finger.”
Even a compliment from Maher can’t help but be backhanded. “On the abortion issue… She won’t just protect Plan B. She is Plan B,” he said.
Maher is certainly no fan of Donald Trump but voiced a reasoned attitude toward the former President and understands why people support him.
“Like… ‘I can’t believe you don’t hate Donald Trump.’ Like, I happen to, but I get it why other people don’t and why they find the threat more coming from the left,” he said on the podcast Club Random with comic Bobby Lee.
Not long ago, Maher was considered a liberal – even a progressive. The comedian and host of such political talk programming as Politically Incorrect and now Real Time with Bill Maher wants listeners to know that he has not changed, but his party has.
“It’s not me who’s changed, it’s the left, who is now made up of a small contingent who’ve gone mental. And a large contingent who refuse to call them out for it. But I will,” he said in a January segment of Real Time. “It’s not my fault that the party of FDR and JFK is turning into the party of LOL and WTF.”
Maher considers himself a liberal and has spoken against woke ideology and modern progressives.
According to The Rubin Report, the humor behind Maher’s monologue on Real Time tacitly acknowledges that Harris has been generally unpopular and failed at solving border security problems, the one issue President Biden explicitly delegated to her.
