After hosting a succesful Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day back in February, Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful is once again teaming up with Gwinnett Department of Water Resources to host another collection event as part of their ongoing commitment to promote environmentally-friendly practices and sustainable living within the region. Their event earlier this year had over 500 participants and diverted over 33 tons of materials from being dumped in landfills.
Scheduled for July 20, the event will run from 8:00 am to 11:00 am at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Lawrenceville. The organizers ask that participants enter through the fairgrounds main entrance. Each Gwinnett County resident are allowed to dispose of up to 5 containers of waste. Those containers will not be returned. A complete list of items that can be disposed of can be found here.
